“LUCKY” PAUL CHAMBERS! WHY?
The story of Paul Chambers to the rescue last week had the phone line busy and the e-mail postings over run with the same question, why is Paul Chambers “lucky”?
Has he won the lotto premium prize?
Has been left loads of dosh in some ones will? Or as one e-mail stated was he a lucky fisherman?
All wrong, buts it’s all very simple, because here is an individual who was certainly born lucky.
Paul Chambers has been around the block within the news trade working for publishers and wholesalers over the years and in most cases has lost the lot, been made redundant in most, but then has the good fortune of joining the National Federation of Retail newsagents as their general manager on a salary
Of seventy grand a year plus allowances etc;
His title of general manager is some what limited as other departments have their own managers and complete their own work, but he plays the game of creeping around the National Executive Committee and of cause keeping in with the National President Solly Khonat.
Remember last year when this website gave the insights of Chambers underhand work along with others of removing me as the East Midlands National Councillor representative and previously working overtime on a rule 34 matter that went pear shape.
The general manager position for the NFRN is a nice cushy number, his main job it seems is to keep an eye on this website and print any literature for senior members of the organisation, along with answering the telephones whist the office staff have a well deserved lunch break.
Lucky is certainly an under statement for Paul Chambers and as one member wrote it’s a sure case of the NFRN’s lost but the news trade gain.
“Lucky” Paul Chambers!
